What are cookies
- Cookies are small pieces of information stored on the user's end device. They may be used to ensure the site functions properly, remember preferences, and, after consent is obtained, for analytics and marketing.
- The use of cookies and similar technologies requires clear information and, for optional categories, the user's prior consent in accordance with the GDPR and the Electronic Communications Law, in particular the rules regarding access to information on the end user's device.
Cookies used on the site
- The required eoct_cookie_consent file stores the cookie preference. It is a first-party cookie, stored for 180 days, and required to remember the decision.
- WordPress may set additional technical and authentication cookies for users logged into the customer or admin panel. These are necessary for a secure session.
- Theme code does not load analytics. Meta Pixel can be active after entering the ID in the theme settings or only after marketing consent, if the administrator turns on such a mode.
Consent categories
- Required: needed to remember privacy settings, login, security, and proper site functionality.
- Analytics: currently not loaded by the theme code. They can only be enabled with active user consent and only for specifically described tools.
- Marketing: Meta Pixel can be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising and remarketing. The administrator can decide whether the pixel works immediately after ID activation or only after marketing consent.
Consent management
- On the first visit, a cookie banner is displayed with the buttons: Essential only, Settings, and Accept all.
- In cookie settings, the equivalent actions Reject optional and Save settings are available. Consent is not a condition for using the site with respect to optional cookies.
- Consent can be changed at any time using the Cookie Settings button available in the footer of the site.
- Cookie settings can also be controlled in the browser; however, blocking technical cookies may make it harder to log in or use the client panel.
Technical script check
- The theme code loads its own style sheet, its own main.js script and Meta Pixel in the public part, if its ID has been set in the theme panel.
- There are no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, YouTube, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA or external chat scripts embedded in the theme code.
- The eoctCookieConsentChanged JavaScript event is used to launch the integration only after saving the appropriate consent, if the administrator enables the consent requirement mode for Meta Pixel.
Payment operator cookies
- When proceeding to checkout, the Customer is redirected to the payment operators' websites — PayPal (paypal.com) or PayU (secure.payu.com / secure.snd.payu.com in the test environment). The operators use their own payment session cookies, fraud detection, and — for subscriptions — stored card token handling.
- Cookies set by payment operators are necessary to carry out transactions securely and do not require the Customer's separate consent, as their use is necessary to provide the service selected by the Customer. In this respect, the operators act as independent data controllers.
